Marietta State of the City Address will be June 5
The Marietta Area Council of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce announced that Marietta Mayor Steve “Thunder” Tumlin will present the 2018 State of the City Address on June 5.
The luncheon, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., will be held at the Mansour Conference Center, 995 Roswell Street NE in Marietta.
The city of Marietta is one of the most rapidlydeveloping cities in Cobb County, due mainly to large social and economic development projects in the downtown square and surrounding region. Among these projects is the upcoming Marietta Square Market, a large food destination, as well as the establishment of the Square’s first craft beer brewery. Outside the Square, in the Franklin Gateway Corridor, large corporate investment projects are rapidly changing what used to be a small town into a bustling economic center.
Tumlin will present his vision for the city of Marietta during the current economic boom.
